Practices & Innovations in Teaching and Learning Process

Following are the innovative tools used by the Faculty in Teaching and Learning Process:

I. Multimedia Learning Process:

The faculties are using multimedia elements LCD projectors in the Class room. It will help the faculties to
represent the content in a more meaningful way using different media elements.

Various multimedia tools used are:

II. Appropriate Methods to improve Teaching and Learning Process with relevance Curriculum

Generic Course Delivery Methods used in our department:

  • Experimental Laboratory Work
  • Group tasks (Projects)
  • Handouts


For making instruction method more illustrative and attentive faculties in the department also follow some innovative teaching methods as follows:

  • The faculties are now oriented towards Outcome based Education (OBE) and are actively
  • utilizing the OBE to cater the learning needs of students by innovative ways:
  • Learning by coding through portals as hakerearth, hacker rank, topcoder, etc.
  • Power point presentation
  • Group tasks (Assignments)
  • Case study (Review and analysis)
  • Role play as active learning method
  • Summary writing on Video clips (related to subject topics or its applications)
  • Short quiz at the end of class (As content recapitulation)


Motivation for Self-learning:

  • Students are advised to take MOOCS Courses – Massive Open Online Courses, Register themselves and Watch NPTEL videos and inform students to write assignments, presentations or group discussions etc to improve their self-learning ability (PO12), basic knowledge (PO1), communication level (PO10) in the respective subject.


Understanding real world examples/ Problems:

  • Students are motivated to participate in technical contests such as SIH. And other accredited hackathon (PO9, 10, 11) to understand and solve nationwide real world problems.
  • Students are motivated to participate in technical contests such as Hackerearth, Hacker Rank, Topcoder, etc to understand and solve real world problems.
  • Tutorial/Remedial classes are conducted for the slow learners based on their performance in external exams and after the first internals
  • Motivating and guiding students for higher studies and university ranks
  • Technical quiz is conducted for the students


Mock Test and Expert Lectures:

  • Mock tests are conducted regularly for improvement of the students as weekly online assessment process.
  • Partial classes are arranged for the students according to the University curriculum
  • Invited talks and seminars on the current trends are done regularly from the industry persons

Blended Learning : Use of Video Lectures by Faculties for enhancing quality of teaching :

In this faculty take help of standard video in the class to enhance learning. This is sort of instructor lead video lecture. We found it very useful as it blends delivery ad knowledge dissemination from a top faculty and our faculty who are much inclined to cater need of mediocre and weak students.

Blended learning with Experts from industry:

Our faculty also practice blended teaching methods with experts from industries. In this faculty along with experts from industries teaches in same period of time ,the faculty acts as moderator and explain the concepts of leading theory disclosed by the industry expert.
