First day at College

Moving towards college doesn’t paint a really fantasizing picture in your mind. I definitely had my plan and own picture in my mind when I was selecting and moving towards my first day at college. It was a great fear of seniors taking ragging and other factors was I didn’t want to be the one who is left alone. To describe myself I am not that much shy person well, I love talking and having fun around but that was easy in schools where you were familiar for long years with that school. Nevertheless, that was my new beginning where everything was new and I was very excited about that, as we have been living far away from my parents, which was not easy too. Now it’s a new session where, we will be welcoming our freshers from all the way long. To our freshers I just want to express my few experiences that will definitely help them being in this friendly college. It’s a very well known fact that now ragging has been banned from every colleges and institutions but what is important is healthy introduction whether with seniors or your own batch mates. Because even we are aware about the fact that what it feels like to be treated like that “do anything in the sake of being juniors”. Seems like not so cool but the purpose of these introduction and activities is to make them familiar with the new phase and if there is any problem then you have your seniors to help you. Once I was stuck in the bus fight while coming back from shopping and I had no way to go out and one of my senior was passing by and noticing me stuck there he came by and helped me. Though we had a little fight during introduction but he still came to help because they knew me. It’s just my one small experience but bonding with your seniors will provide you with guidelines as well as notes they have (on a funny note). The fear of being ragged should be taken out of mind as such thing we don’t support but we do feel introduction should be conducted. Its good being bold and shy but one thing to remember while doing so many experiments when being in college as it open doors for your passion and life.
