The engineering design process

Engineering is the most cost-effective and exciting professional process that creates a path for young students to choose their creative, theoretical or practical career at same time. To get a foothold in the industry, acquiring different skills and knowledge is very important. Engineering includes both science-math based careers which require the potential of students with relevant qualifications.

The design process of engineering consists of various steps that are regularly followed up with a solution to the problem. Most of the time, the solution involves the designing of product whether computer code or nay machine which meets up certain criteria for the accomplishment of certain task. In STEM education, engineering is the process which involves the designing, building and usage of machines, engines and structures that ignored authenticity of STEM instructions.

Some of the engineering instructors include their planning in the implementation of different engineering designing projects which is not essential to math, science or technology instruction. The success of STEM process includes the integration of math, science and technology that works across various disciplines. To mirror the work of STEM professionals, and increase career and college readiness, it has become important for the students to experience the real-world and integrate these projects in the classroom.

With these principles and concepts, students can learn:

• Research and collection of evidence for solving problem.
• Creating, building and testing the concepts of concrete models of various solutions.
• Synthesize and access basic knowledge in math, science and technology for solving real-world problems.
• Communicate and protect different solutions that are completely based on evidence.
• Work with collaboration for building various ideas.

The projects of engineering designs are creative and problem-solving. It also helps to gain confidence and choose different concepts that could interest them for long term among variety of options. For designing engineering project, there are certain points which need to be followed:

1. Define your problem
2. Identify your requirement
3. Implementing different design activities
4. Train student engineers.
