A thin line between confidence and over confidence

People often misunderstood the concept of confidence and over confidence because there is a little bit difference between them and sometimes they took their confidence into overconfidence and this leads them a big disaster towards their goal and success. If you are feeling overconfidence about something than you start to feeling like you are the best among everyone and you can do anything without the help of other’s support, mentoring and preparation. This makes you feel egoistic and it makes you away from your goal. On the other hand confidence helps you to reach our goal and success and you come to a new era of confident life. Confidence is not about that you are having it all rather it is about the proper utilization of everything that you have. The concept of confidence and overconfidence is like two sides of a coin. If you do not use your confidence wisely then it would turn to a worst situation. Confidence comes with all your shortcomings and uncertainties and it helps you to focus on them and overcoming. To develop confidence you need to be focused, committed and dedicated to your work. Confidence helps you in accepting your shortcomings and failures. Person in a situation of overconfidence start to work even in those areas about which he has no idea or he is not sure about it but he still do it and because of this he would not able to develop himself. On the other side the confident person knows his limits and ability towards his work. Confidence is the state of being sure of our ability rather overconfidence is the over estimation of one’s ability. Overconfidence leads us to think that the world would come to a halt without us and being an employee in a company we start to think like the company is progressing only because of us and if we stop doing work than the company will go bankrupt etc but confidence makes you feel that you are replaceable in the company and there are more deserving and talented persons in this world in comparison to you. So there is always a fine line between confidence and overconfidence which is hard to understand as well as it is very easy to go beyond that line. It is up to us that whether we want to be in that line or out of that line. Home Page
