Eligibility for B Tech admission
What is B Tech?
B Tech, Bachelor of Technology is a UG engineering degree program awarded to students after completing 4 years of study in the field. This undergraduate program is your path to a career in engineering. So hurry up to take B Tech admission at Best Engineering College.
In India, a B Tech degree is offered across different kinds of specializations. Some of the most renowned ones are as follows:
|Computer Science Engineering
|Electronics and Communication Engineering
|Electronics & Electrical Engineering
Various Career Opportunities
While all these specializations offer great prospects for engineering students to get into various careers, Computer Science Engineering is probably one of the most sought after nowadays. This is also reflected in the high cut off exam scores that Top Engineering Colleges such as Arya College of Engineering and IT, Poornima College as well as some of the best central universities or colleges command from their respective applicants to enroll them for this program.
B Tech Programs
In India, all technical programs such as B Tech, fall under the regulatory purview of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Admissions to B Tech programs take place through national level/state-level/institute-level engineering entrance examinations. The top five engineering entrance exams taken by a large number of students each year are:
- JEE Main
- JEE Advanced
- MHT CET
- TS EAMCET
This degree program also delivers a parallel orientation to students as the one offered by a B Tech program. Indeed, such degree of overlap in eligibility criteria to universities, subjects taught recruiting companies and even job profiles offered during campus placements, that often students wonder whether these are the same.
Eligibility Criteria for B Tech courses
The eligibility criteria of B Tech is the same across the country, and the basic qualification needed to join the B Tech course in India is as follows –
- For pursuing a B Tech course, one must pass Class 12 in the Science stream. The students must have Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics as the subjects in Class 12. Students who have studied only these subjects in Class 12 are treated eligible for B Tech admission.
- Besides, students must score at least 50% of marks in Class 12 to be eligible for B Tech admission in Top Engineering Colleges across the country. However, students belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ ST will have a relaxation of up to 5% in the minimum qualifying marks.
