Flying abroad for higher studies is a big decision and requires a lot of planning. Best engineering colleges of Rajasthan offers a platform for students to make their dream come true by offering proper guidance on which countries offer high education standard abroad. Here’s sharing some expert insight to help the aspirants study abroad and take the right steps.

Students must know how to persuade their parents and family on why they want to study abroad. The opportunities available in developed countries are comparatively more. However, the cost and safety are few concerning areas for parents.

Thus, enlisting below are various important points that need to be considered before shifting abroad.

Actual cost involved : While calculating the cost they should be aware of the difference in currency value to be able convert everything into Indian rupees and then compare. People think that Singapore is cheaper than UK. But if students do some research, they’ll know that for a post-graduation programme in UK compared to the same university’s same course offered in Singapore, one will end up paying additional one lakh rupees in Singapore, because of the higher rate of the Singapore dollar.

Some countries like Germany are known to offer free education. Make sure you know that what free education is for overseas students! If you score more than 80% marks only then you can get it for free. Even under free education, you might have to pay for your books and for education exam registration and other expenses. Moreover, students have to open an account in Germany, transfer Rs 8 Lakh into that account towards living expenses and it’s only after this confirmation that their Visa will be stamped. They will be allowed to draw only their monthly requirement from the account. Hence, it’s important to check the following points.

Tuition Fees : Check for the following when calculating the fee:

  • Actual Tuition fees
  • Any scholarship available on the fees
  • Any discount allowed for full fee payments
  • Any additional cost, if paid in instalments
  • Any laboratory fees or project fees specific to your course
  • Any foreign tour charges included in the fees
  • Will they offer free laptop & other resources?
  • Living expense, etc.

Students should also know about the forex card facility. If they use international debit cards, every time for each transaction there will be service charges and that particular day’s conversion rates will be applicable.

This can be avoided by taking a forex card, which is available as Pounds card, Euro card, etc.

This card can be loaded any time from India by their parents, after the students go abroad. Only few banks offer this card.

Duration of the course : Top btech colleges in Jaipur suggest you to pay attention to the duration of your course abroad. Normally, US and Canada offer two-year postgraduate programmes and four-year undergraduate programmes. In UK, the programme duration is three years for under graduation and one year for post graduation. Calculate the cost and the years you will need to put in to complete a course if you choose to study abroad. You should also find out for how many more months will you get the Visa to stay back after completing the course.
