Electronics & Communications Engineering is an engineering discipline which utilizes non-linear and active electrical components such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits to design electronic circuits, devices and systems. It deals with the transmission of information across a channel such as a co-axial cable, optical fiber or free space. The program is designed to produce professional Engineers who are capable of analyzing, specifying, designing, commissioning and maintaining complex electronic communications systems to enable continuous improvements in standards.
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering have the Robotic Research Cell. MOU with Texas Instruments, India for Analog System Design Lab and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for BSNL Sponsored Employability Enhancement Training Program (EETP). The Department has the Institutional Membership of The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunications Engineer (IETE) for Research & Development.
Technology and innovation hand in hand can improve upon our lifestyles. One can handle perilous situations safely via having a subject knowledge in digital signal processing, logic and neural networks, digital system integration and communication, embedded structures in microprocessors and micro controllers and microwaves are studied as part of the course.
