Three Days State Level Thar'18 Event
Engineering education requires practical experience and exposure to the growth and development of the individual, society and the nation. There are different events which allow students or aspirants to attain and achieve expertise. Similarly, THAR embarked with the vision of creating a platform where the future technocrats get to showcase their innovative ideas, it is where theory gets tempered with reality to reach marvels in technology. The event was organized between 9th March to 11th March 2018. The event was power packed with various numbers of activities that include Techno-exhibition, Aqua mania, stump operator, Track-o-Mania and many more. With this aim only, Arya College of Engineering and IT participated in the State Level Competition. It is organized every year at Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. Students from different departments showed their skills through this event.
The aqua mania was the race of model RC (radio controlled) boats which were created by the participants itself. Students are given special conditions for the making of these boats so that the particular challenge can be achieved. It was the unique race that allows the students to test the ingenuity, assemble the skills and understand different practical problems. But the stump operator competition was the complete package for the speaking art. This event mainly dealt with the speaking, listening and thinking skills of the students. The competition was categorized into three rounds including group discussions, elocution and debates. Contestants were given topics on the spot and they had spoken for about 3 minutes.
The Chief Guest of the event i.e. Vice-chancellor of Kota University, Prof. N.P Kaushik and Pro VC Dr Rajeev Gupta honoured some students for their achievements. For Aqua Mania, Swaraj Kr. Tiwari, Srikant Pandey and Deepak Chaudhary of Electronics and Communication Department and for Track-o-Mania, Abhishek, Prakhar Tandon, Harshit and Abhinish from Electronics and Communication Department and Electrical Department achieved these awards at last day of the event. For the events like Stump Operator, Chavi Khandelwal of Computer Science Department of third-year got the Second position and Avinash Kumar of MBA Final Year got the First position in the event.
The program ended with the Celebration and Dance party enjoyed by the participants, team and the committee members. Home Page
