Aqua Mania (THAR-18) In the college days of students, it is important to learn and understand both theoretical and practical knowledge in different areas of the society. Each and every child should involve themselves in the extra-curricular so that they can enhance and explore their in-depth skills and talents. Keeping this in mind, Rajasthan Technical University Kota has organized Three-days National Level Technical Fest cum competition where students from different college participated. Arya College had also taken part in various activities at Thar 2018 and won different positions.
In the competition of Aqua Mania, Swaraj kr. Tiwari, Srikant Pandey and Deepak Choudhary from the Department of Electronics and communication of Arya College of Engineering and IT had achieved the Second position in the Competition. It was simply the race of remote-controlled model boats that were created by the participants.
They were provided a fixed time limit of 10 minutes in which participants have to take their boats to the final destination in water by making use of the remote-controlled mechanism. The competition consisted of two rounds in which there were different levels of hurdles. To achieve the particular challenges in the competition, there were certain conditions applied for making the boats. The main aim of the unique racing event was to test the ingenuity, assembling skills and the level of understanding the practical problems from the start to end. The self-designed boats were expected to cross the length of water. The judgment criteria were based on the time and speed taken to cross the length of water. Each team consisted of two-four members. Participants were asked to bring battery-powered crafts without any use of Combustion engines, pre-pressurized containers or other fluids. The craft has to race against other crafts, crossing some hurdles in their respective paths and points were rewarded accordingly. They should not touch the crafts to the edge of the hurdles placed in the path. There was different racing arena designed for the competition. This competition has brought back the glimpse of childhood memories when we try to make paper boats and sail them in small pits of water. With this event, students/ participants have applied their engineering or technical skills and drifted their crafts in water. Home Page
