Gadget lovers should opt for electrical engineering because Electrical Engineering is the most sorted job especially when it comes to engineering. Electrical engineering also involves the study of power, telecommunication and computers.
Electrical engineers can work in the offices, labs or industrial plants of various industries which includes the manufacturers of electrical components, electric utility and engineering consulting firms. Electrical Engineering is all about programming but for that one has to excel in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics subjects. Work of an electrical engineer is much more than just making light bulbs.
Electrical engineering is closely related to computer engineering (CE) program. One can also do electrical engineering with communications, power systems, biomedical and computer science. Always keep yourself updated with latest changes.
Some of the things should be kept in mind before starting your career in electrical engineering like get initial exposures with reputed brands, aim high and also try being an innovator. Career paths in electrical engineering are many but it is dependent on one’s choice to choose which industry he or she wants to work.
Electrical jobs include working with the cellular phones, the development of electrical systems in vehicles, wiring the electrical systems in buildings and working to keep large scale, but one branch. They also have various job opportunities in electronics industry because they have all the required knowledge of this field very well. They can also be hired as telecommunication engineers because this field involves transmission of information across various channels. Career paths are power transmission, electromagnetic, signal processing, control system design, commercial appliances, instrumentations, telecommunications, embedded systems, bioelectricity, etc
There are various jobs in Electrical Engineering field. Main three jobs are Senior Electrical Engineer, Patent Counsel – Electrical Engineering and Electrical Design Engineer. They also have various job opportunities in electronics industry because they have all the required knowledge of this field very well. They can also be hired as telecommunication engineers because this field involves transmission of information across various channels. . Electrical engineers design electronic components, software, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, or scientific applications.

Courses available in Electrical Engineering are B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, B. Tech in Electronics and Communication, M. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Ph. D in Electrical Engineering, etc. Qualifications needed to be an electrical engineer are that B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering is must. ELECTRICAL Engineers can be appointed as Design engineer, Quality control Engineer, Test Engineer, Reliability Engineer, etc.
Particular skills like inside and outside knowledge of computer is must. Other than this exceptional understanding of Science and Math is a major requirement. Most important ones are how well a person speak in public and how can he write. Skills needed for Electrical Engineers are Electronic systems, Electronics troubleshooting, Electronic testing design, project management, quality focus, database design, analyzing information, innovation, reporting research results, attention to every detail and focus on excellence.
Duites of an Electrical Engineer is to design new ways to use electrical power to develop or improve products. Engineers who work continuously on computer and related to computer hardware are known as computer hardware engineers. They have full power in fields like digital signal processing and circuits and micro controllers as electrical engineers have full knowledge of this field. Duties of an Electrical Engineer are to design and develop related machinery, and the most important is transmission and distribution of electrical energy and communication.
In order to do BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering, a student has to have at least 50 to 60 % marks in twelfth board examination. After that entrance examinations like IITJEE and AIEEE are held and students can take admission in best Engineering colleges with the marks of these in entrance examinations. Some of the famous Engineering colleges also held their personal examination at their level. Students can also do a diploma in polytechnic and then, do further education in Electrical Engineering without attending eleventh and twelfth class.
Many a times, some colleges also offer scholarship for students who cannot afford any good college’s fees. Such bright students have to fight separate examination for scholarship facility too. One can also go for post graduate program only if he/she has a graduate degree in BE/B. Tech from a reputed college. If one has interest in Electrical Engineering and wants to grasp knowledge as much as possible and also get the highest position in society then, one can even do PhD in further studies.
An Electrical Engineer earns an average salary of Rs. 347, 459 per year. Salary of an Electrical Engineer is increased only after one attains enough experience and extra skills learned in this field.
All these companies also hire fresher Engineers every year and not just experienced.
